The perfumer behind Soleil Levant, Amber Mirage and D’Or Davana.

Patrick Müller composed Soleil Levant, Amber Mirage and D’Or Davana for M’OUD. These are his own words, recorded one afternoon in the lab in July 2026.

In his words
«Perfume is something you need to respect. The creativity inside — it doesn’t come from stress. You need to have the time for the feelings. You need to feel it.»
On the craft
«With M’OUD we have pure natural qualities of wood inside. That is something which I cherish. You will smell it — if you know oud, you will smell it.»
On M’OUD
«This is wood oil, Trat. Trat is in the southeastern part of Thailand, just bordering along the Cambodian border. For me personally it is one of the best qualities of wood which we have.»
On the agarwood in D’Or Davana
«Normally, in a white floral you would not see an oud inside. But as you said that you wanted to have it — that is why I put it in. To give the fragrance the lift.»

His compositions for M’OUD

Amber MirageAmber oriental. Tea, cardamom and apricot over cashmere wood, amber and oud. Soleil LevantFloral oud. Cherry blossom and peach, magnolia and ylang-ylang, jasmine and tuberose over oud. D’Or DavanaFruity oud. Davana and mango over agarwood from Trat.

Oud Amal Intense is not among them: it is Maya Wally’s first composition and was created before the collaboration.

His advice: wear the fragrances over several days and watch how the profile changes. That is exactly what the Discovery Set is for.
