2014, honeymoon in Dubai. There, oud was not something you put on. It was something people lived with. Maya brought fragrances home to Zürich, and people kept asking what she was wearing. None of it was available in Europe.

She carried the idea with her for years. In the months before her third son was born, it became serious: evenings with raw materials, trying, adjusting. The result was Oud Amal, her first composition, named after the Arabic word for hope.

In 2022, Maya and Ali Wally founded M’OUD in Zürich.

For every 100 ml bottle sold, M’OUD plants a tree.
